Haven Season 2: Discussion, Spoilers, Etc.

I'm hoping Duke's playing the Rev. I liked that he came and told Nathan ASAP. The ex-chief was an a$$hole; very happy at that outcome.

So Duke's wife gets shot, and we really don't know anything more than she says she thought she was helping him.

No, I do not believe Duke is going along with the Rev. He's playing it cool for now, I think.

Where are the newspaper brothers? They haven't been in the last 2-3 episodes. I like those guys.

Where did the barn go?

So many questions...

Oh, and I really like the Cleaner guy. He's a good addition to the story.

Yeah, I was afraid he was doomed. I'm glad he survived.

I like those newspaper guys, too. They are one of the most New England-ish parts of the show.

this season has been fantastic for a second season. was just wondering how many more episodes to go before the break?

Who, What Where, Wendingo?

So Audrey kills the Rev, eh?

We knew Duke was not really in league with that bastard.

As for the main story...meh.

Yay, I finally got caught up on episodes!

Glad Chris headed for the hills. He was getting increasingly obnoxious. I know he apologized, but still -- giving Audrey's gun away, and to a complete stranger? How stupid was he? But I never liked him to begin with.

Please, please keep Dwight. Usually I dislike "special appearances" by wrestlers, but Edge/Adam Copeland is really good. He has a nice chemistry with the regulars and the character gets more appealing with each appearance.

"Why didn't you shoot him in the leg?" Uh...because that's not how law enforcement's trained? Because, also, that's too damned close to the girl he was about to kill? Really, Duke? (Although, I do admit, it's nice to get a reminder that Duke's not entirely devoted and selfless.)

now we will probablly see who the rev was working with or for now that he's dead.
this has been a great season I love how most of the episodes this season seem to have a stephen king refrence from his other books.

I liked the last episode. Wendigos are cool, but I would have preferred big hairy Wendigos instead of little girl Wendigos. :rommie:

I was surprised when the Rev was killed. After the "Innsmouth" episode, I expected that he would ultimately redeem himself in a crucial moment. Now both he and Evie have died without the chance to redeem themselves. Interesting.

I, too, like Dwight. The actor is appealing, wrestler or no, and the character is interesting; I liked the look into his background this week.

I wonder if the Chief will make a comeback before the season ends....

Agreed. I'm not familiar with his wrestling persona, but he's been a good addition to show so far.

In fact, I keep thinking he might make a good Vincent in the new version of BEAUTY AND THE BEAST.

I like Dwight. I find it interesting that a new character can be accepted by the audience so well (I haven't read a lot of dislike of him) when others aren't. Just shows good writing and acting can do well on a show.

Heh, forgot to mention -- anyone catch the son's name and the name of his girlfriend, the middle daughter?

Rory. And Amelia.

:D

^^^ Oh, I can't take credit for it -- I follow the Haven board at TWOP and someone mentioned it there. Not sure I would have caught it in the episode if I hadn't already known about it.

Well, that was pretty good.

They advanced the main arc quite a bit, and added a few twists.

Audrey meets Lucy....so who the hell is Audrey?!?

The whole thing with Duke's dad has heated up considerably.

The newspaper guy working with the Cleaner is interesting. What's his brother up to?

And of course a nice moment with Nathan and Audrey toward the end.

Season Finale next week. Then another very long wait....

:scream:

Yeah, this episode was just packed. Duke versus Dwight, followed by team up and betrayal. The schism between the newspaper brothers grows. Revelations about Lucy and Duke's dad. Civil war brewing in Haven (don't those dummies even think about what the name means?). And, of course, the clinch between Nathan and Audrey.

I hope we get a third-season renewal. For all its silly flaws, this is a good and entertaining show.

okay one of the rev's followers turned out to be a troubled that was raising spirts.and then we have a confrontation with the rev and duke and nathan's father's. and then some one kid napped audrey and then nathan appears to have shot duke. and nathan had the tattoo. fantastic finally my rating:

:bolian::bolian::bolian::bolian::bolian:
:rommie:

That was a hell of a finale. Lots of new information, still many questions, the Troubles are far from over and there are mind-bending turns of events involving all our major characters.

I will be very disappointed if this show is not renewed at this point.
