Have you seen this super muscular kid?

This 5 year old has huge muscles and is doing flips and shit like Darth Maul. Will he be the next generations action hero movie star or will all that muscle building stunt his growth in some way?

That level of muscularity highly unusual. However, there's no reason a child can't start strength training (as opposed power training) at 7-8 years old. There are no recorded medical injuries due to early weight training in children. The idea that this will hurt kids is really a myth. Usually when they lift that early, the target should be for them to support a sport, and for functional training. Weight training is the most useful at puberty when they will start producing testosterone. I wouldn't recommend kids lift at below 13-14 yrs old for power or competition.

No it won't stunt growth, that's just hilarious. This whole issue reminds me of how in the 50s-70s Western athletes were told weightlifting was bad for them until Eastern trainers and athletes started proving that it was essential for performance gains. The rest is history.

That's just creepy. :wtf:

What will happen to him when he hits puberty...?

Um, if he keeps lifting he will be in very good shape indeed, because his natural test will kick in.

I'm surprised at you...I thought you'd be wholly against this sorta thing.

I could kick the shit out of that kid. Admittedly, I would fight in a way that involved as little strength against strength as possible, but I could still kick the shit out of him. :)

But even then, you'd be some dude who just beat the shit out of a five-year-old. Kobayashi Maru.

I like question #4:

I'm against it if he's being exploited...if his parents are cashing in on him. I'm not for him doing this just for power training...or if he has a disorder. There's still no reason kids can't lift weights at an early age. There's no medical evidence of hormonal or structural damage, as long as the child in question is supervised and not over-lifting.

It seems I could take 8 five-year-old in a fight. This useless information brought to me after ten minutes and about a dozen advertising screens filled with checkboxes that I wasn't allowed to leave blank.

Actually, that wasn't the original site I took the quiz on because I couldn't find it, that was the first one that came up when I searched for the quiz I'd done last year. Sorry about the ads, I didn't go all the way through the quiz. :(

And I can kick the shit out of three times as many 5 year olds as you! That's an entire kindergarten class!

I've seen or heard of a similar case a few years ago. In fact, it was some seven-year-old uber-muscular kid who was featured on Believe It Or Not. There was something about this genes that gave him extreme metabolism and enabled him to grow or build muscles at a faster rate.

I too have to laugh at the doom and gloomers talking about how this will stunt his growth. Why exactly? Trust me, I spent my youth playing Atari and Nintendo.. I think this kid will end up a superior physical specimen to me

And as for his parents 'forcing' him... I don't know, he seems to have a shit eating grin all throughout the videos. Seems he really enjoys it.

We have a boy in our street we call Hitler Boy cause he's prematurely grown a mustache.

He plays with all the other children but he looks so odd - like an adult in a child's body.

He's really mean too and sits on other children's heads in the middle of the road!
