Go to a class reunion?

I wouldn't. I hated high school. I went to an all-girls high school and, as I was a tomboy, I hated it.

Primary school was nearly as bad. Though it was a mixed-sex school the boys and girls had different playgrounds and that was no good for me.

I did enjoy hanging around with the boys after school. Nearly all my childhood friends were boys.

Absolutely! I loved high school, and I can't wait for my first reunion. Granted, I only graduated 6 years ago, so I've still got about 4 years to go.

However, the age of Facebook has allowed me to keep tabs on most of my high school class anyway, so a reunion wouldn't be too jarring.

No. Absolutely not, not even if there was a gun to my head.

School was the worst time of my life and I have no intention of ever setting foot in the same room as any of the scum I went to school with ever again.

My school experiences weren't that bad, but they weren't too great either. It was mainly....boring. That, plus the fact that I stay in touch with the friends I had back then equals no reunion scenario for me.

Certainly, this September. Of course me some friends of mine have already had a mini reunion. 10 years.

Yes. Mine (10 year reunion) was actually 3 days ago. I was class president, and had to organize it, so i suppose I kinda had to show up.

For all the drama people want to make about going or not going, it really wasn't that big a deal. Rented out a resturant with an upstair bar, and just had a bunch of appetizers, cake, and a cash bar. Fairly cheap and casual, just a couple hours of chatting with people and moderate drinking.

It was fun.

Nope, not ever, not even in a million years!

Those people were ok to know back in school, I suppose, but without the school as common ground I would have nothing to say to them nor be interested in anything they might have to say.

Same reason why I'm not on facebook!

I've been to a couple. My high school was populated by a lot of Air Force brats, like me, so our graduating class has been spread all over the country. The last reunion I attended was a multi-year reunion. It worked out great. We held it in Myrtle Beach (about two hours from where we went to high school) and because of the multi-year nature, had several families attend together. Brothers and sisters who graduated in different years could all attend the same reunion.

If it was a reunion, it would just be an informal get-together, such as meeting up in the pub or in a coffee place or restaurant. Nothing formal, really.

I'd go. There is at least one friend I'd like to see again and a couple of people of whom I'd just like to know how they're doing. Mere curiosity.

But I doubt there will ever be one. Someone would have to organise it and I can't see anyone from my old calss volunteering for that.

Last summer I went to my 20th High School reunion. I had to travel several thousand miles to get to it. I hadn't been to the 10 year one and hadn't seen the majority of people since literally the end of high school. I really had no idea what it would be like. It was a blast!! I'm so glad I went. I would suggest going even if you didn't like HS. At worst, it's just a few hours of wasted time. Not too bad. But, maybe you'll be surprised?

No.

I've kept in touch with my few high-school friends over the years since graduation.

I have no interest in seeing any of those other people.

Been to one..the 20th back in 1999...I was not very impressed..it became all about who was doing better than who in life and nothing about re-connection..I'll never go to another...

Yeah, sure. I'm still in touch with some of my friends from high school, so it wouldn't be such a big deal.

I would actually be quite curious to go to a grade or middle school reunion. I recently reconnected with some through facebook, and it was quite nice.

Beside, I'm handsome, cool and successful, so I have nothing to fear about it. Or, at least, I have an over-inflated ego that would prevent me from feeling any shame or trepidation whatsoever. :D

I lost touch with most of my good friends from high school and I wouldn't mind seeing some of them again... but on the other hand, they're mostly not the sort who would go to a reunion either. So I don't see much point.
