Do you draw things? Do you like to design graphics, logos, etc? Then have I got a contest for you!

Design a logo for MARINER, an animated Trek fan series currently in production.

The logo will be used on our official web site, YouTube channel, Twitter and Facebook pages. We may use it in the introduction sequence of our episodes as well.

Please e-mail your logos to NCC94253@GFCmedia.net. You can submit as many as you like. We don't have a solid deadline; the contest will continue until we have the perfect logo. There is no monetary prize as MARINER is an entirely volunteer project, but we'll post a fancy Thank You note here and on our Twitter & Facebook pages. You will be able to cherish your feeling of victory for years to come!

What sort of logo are you thinking of?

I mean, are we talking just opening titles or some sort of ship insignia, ala the NX-01 patch?

Something relatively simple and kind of flashy would be great. Preferably squarish to show up best on various web sites, or one banner version and one square version of the logo.

I'll show you some examples of the sort of logo I'm talking about.

The logo can be as "traditional" or "[insert opposite of traditional here]" as you wish. Be creative!

What do you want it to say about your site though. Do you just want a delta shield with a flashy background? Or something completely original?

You could completely redesign the delta shield logo as many fleets and "alternate futures" have done. (I referenced a few in my last post, and Memory Alpha has the redesigns seen in episodes.) You could use it in combination with other cool shapes, or not.

Basically I would like something to use as an icon on various sites (Facebook, Twitter), as well as place text either over it or alongside it for a title banner in the show's opening sequence.
