Spoilers Have we already been introduced to the next BIG BAD villain (not the ones we "know" about)?

On Twitter someone was lamenting not having a payoff / reveal of who was behind the big blast that was going to wipe out the galaxy - the one that Picard and Borg Queen Jurati saved everyone from. Another tweeter mentioned that they were also frustrated that we didn't see more from the synthetics from the end of season 1.

I tweeted a hypothesis that they were one and the same and that we would see them in a future spinoff. Terry Matalas liked the tweet.

Maybe a little confirmation? Let the speculation begin.....

I also had a spin-off idea based on this big bad too which I tweeted, but Terry didn’t like it. So lucky you.

Maybe it is because I put Seven on the Enterprise E and not the Enterprise F. He will probably end up putting her on the Titan though in the end, I hear he loves that ship.

Would love to see both. Both threats have a good amount of potential and I would like to see it explored.

Akiva Goldsman said it would be addressed eventually, but didn't say if it would be a current show or not.

This is kinda what I was thinking. If I were a betting man, I would say the Seven spin-off (if it happens) will address it. If not that show then maybe in a future season of Discovery.
