Hats in Star Trek XI?!? Is there no God?

Samuel T. Cogley

There exists the possibility that someone in Star Trek XI might be wearing a hat. This might very well be the straw that breaks the camel's back. Expect to see a polarizing effect on the fans, beginning NOW!

They time travel, and we fall back. They wear hats, and we fall back. Not again. The line must be drawn here!

I'm disturbed the third choice is running neck & neck with "No", that says alot about Star Trek fans... nothing great either.

well there was a hat on the wall of Pikes room in "The Cage" as part of the dress order of the day and hat were coman in Archer's day so there nothing wrong with hats

I'm all for hats.

In fact, I demand it. Unless Chris Pine wears a Tri-Cornered hat on the bridge I will boycott this movie.

Didn't see Generations then? :p

Hooooah, yeah. Some good hats in that movie.

I think Sam may be onto something here. I always thought that Star Trek needed more hats.

Captain Picard would have looked good with a hat I think. Especially on away missions. Would be useful for keeping your tricorder and phaser in.

Plus you have the fringe benefit of keeping your head warm.

I thought it was sitting on top of his t.v.

Yes, but "Enterprise" isn't canon, so that's no help. :(

WHY are so many concerned about the look of the film?  They are NOT going to make it look like the 60's series. If anything it will look closer to ST: Enterprise. A show that I felt got its visuals right. Even when they did IAMD they made subtle changes to the Defiant interiors that made it look a little more texture. Im starting to think there is a group of fans out there that will except nothing less than a show or movie exactly modeled after TOS.

I'm really hoping this movie has fedoras.

If it does, it will automatically become the greatest Star Trek movie ever. :)

Why do a prequel otherwise?

Spock looks good in a hat.

I can almost see Kirk grabbing the hat off his head, and giving him a good Skipper smack with it!

Obviously Gilligan's Island was a portion of the historical documents that survived from the 60's.

I think if a Hat is a deal-breaker for anyone, me-thinks they probably weren't going anyhow. That or their priorities a pretty screwed up.

It's just a frickin' HAT, people.

Militaries all over wear hats. Pike's era obviously had hats.

Anywho...
