Hatin' on Wesley Crusher - Help w/ Research!

Hey all,

My significant other is currently doing research on internet celebrity and is writing a paper on Wil Wheaton's relatively recent fame as a blogger/writer/Twitterer. She's interested in finding good online collections of anti-Wesley hate from back in the day -- I suggested alt.wesley.crusher.die.die.die as being a place people went back in the early 1990s to complain about Wesley online -- but Google's archive only goes back as far as 1993 or so.

Anyone know if there are other good places to look? Anyone have any tips for interesting archives from the first few seasons of TNG that have been collected anywhere? I'm assuming USENET was probably the best place to find these, but maybe there are other BBSes, etc. that I'm missing.

Any help would be appreciated!

There used to be "get Wesley" stories in fanzines back in the day. I think the first couple of Eridani might have had some. They were published by Randy Landers (who might still be a member here), in the late 80's. You might try contacting him. Just do a google for Orion Press. He doesn't do post TOS any more but he might have some useful info.
