Hatchery Netflix Issue

I've been watching all of Enterprise on Netflix and I've come to Hatchery. Strangely this one episode is playing in 4:3 and I can't figure out why. Is it this way for others, or is it a Netflix or Internet problem (though my Internet seems to be working fine)? I tried playing the episodes just before and after this one just now and they are in 16:9. I don't get it!

Forgive my ignorance, but if you saying that the episode shows in a different size/proportion than the others, I am also watching on Netflix and also had this happen. I'm not sure if it was Hatchery-- probably, and last night, early in season 4, another one as well. As with you, the other episodes play normally, on the full screen.

EDIT: Definitely "Hatchery." I take it back about the season 4 episode-- they seem normal.

I believe this must be a recent change. I just finished a rewatch of Enterprise and I didn't notice it. I watched Hatchery about 3 weeks ago and didn't notice it.

I just watched this one on Hulu and didn't notice any difference from the other episodes.

*hugs Blu-ray's*

This is one of the advantages of physical media, no issues like that to deal with and if it's not playing in the right aspect ratio you've likely got an incorrect setting on your playerr and/or TV.

I noticed a similar issue with some TOS episodes, where the space shots are in 16:9, but the actual camera footage is still 4:3 (and window boxed on non-16:9 displays).
