I guess with more use of CGI for mecha, it's easier to vary their sizes.

Similiar to their ranger forms the mecha will be comprised of three live action suits and two CGI

And the combo which is named Don OniTaiJin is supposedly a live action suit. We'll see magazine scans this week

Would it be safe to guess that these are not vehicles, but Alter Change forms of the Donbrothers themselves?
Why on Earth does a giant mecha need abs?
Why does it need a samurai helmet, or animal faces on its limbs?
They take on mecha form (robotaro).
More indication Toei/Sentai are trying to get the rangers more involved in mecha fights rather than cheering from the ground or just stationary in a cockpit
The upcoming May episodes page has a look at live action Oni robotaro. So for the entire month of May is the debut of everyone's Robotaro forms

Some interesting nuggets. He mentions when they first started in NZ, the NZ stunt performers, weren't as familiar with the Japanese way of doing things, and that's why they compensated with heavier use of wirework.
He also talks more about how the stunts work. A good read.
While true, that was more of a armored power up that grew large and became mecha. I was expecting the Robotaros to be more like proper mecha. Though it's clear from this week's episode that they are definitely going with the Super Zenkaiser approach.
Looked pretty good too. I look forward to seeing the other four next week.
The tease of the new villain faction today felt very Rider to me. Reminded me a lot of Spider Orphenoch's debut from Faiz.
Edit: Saw some new pics and video of Don Onitaijin's toy. This thing is huge. Don Robotaro is as large as the ZenkaiOh formations last year, and the combined form is fantastic and chonky. I think the largest sentai mecha I own is probably Dairenou, but this looks to be even taller WITHOUT the swords sticking up on the back. It will be mine.
I haven't watched Dairanger, but from a Power Rangers perspective I think that the Thunder Megazord is the most underrated Zord of all time. It doesn't get talked about much, and its not quite the classic that the original megazord is, but I think its really cool looking and I thought that Red having a core zord that the rest formed into armor for was an interesting idea at the time.

DonBrothers continues to be interesting. The new villain faction gets a more proper introduction here. Cat, Crane and Penguin. Cat and Crane both revealed. But Penguin. Man, this version of Kaito turns into a black and white ZenKaiser. I hope he's not an emperor penguin when this is all said and done.
So now we just need them to figure out that Inuzaka is InuBrother and the team will finally be truly complete.
Finally got some real movement on the Miho/Natsumi angle. And it looks both simpler and yet more complex than I might have guessed. Has she been Crane the entire time she's been married to Tsuyoshi?
Next week, Don Onitaijin. I saw a picture on another board that looks to be the combined robo, but at normal human size. Now THAT would be different. And fun. Wonder if we'll get the equivalent to an Ultraman rise when it grows? The new bit in the opening might be just that. I'm kind of hoping now.

"Kamen Rider - Beyond Generations" was a good cross over movie.
It was nice seeing Hiroshi Fujioka's son take over the mantle of "Kamen Rider" in the movie.
It felt "proper" to pass the title from Father to Son to portray the same character.
Kamen Rider Century is definitely OP and the Cyclotron Driver is a nice homage to the original belt with a futuristic flare.
The team up between Revice & Saber made sense and they remembered their previous meetup.
It honestly felt like a Super Sentai Cross-Over in many respects.
