just mid way though the second series, and found this (on what looks like a Eddie Izzard fan site)

According to Todd Stashwicks blog:
"The Riches has been cancelled Word came down. That word is cancelled. Thank you everyone, all the passionate folks who were rooting for our return. Alas it will not be. As I said before, onward! Sincerely Todd" (thanks Betsy)

come to think of it, if T:TSCC does get axed Virgin 1 is going to loose two of its best shows in one go.

I just checked FX's website and the blog forum for "the Riches" is confirming it's cancellation.

From what I read good ratings os no clue why its been cancelled...This is problem with cable because shows dissaper alot for no real reasons despite solid ratings.

only read it on wikipeida but I read ratings for S2 were not that good, but iTunes sales were good.

I enjoyed from what i saw of series 1 but my free view went funny and Virgin 1 became unwatchable so i missed quite a bit of the show.

FX cancelled a 2nd show today with Dirt joining The Richers.

Jeez, what's going on over at FX? Canceled two shows and another is on its way out (The Shield is on its final season). All they have left is Damages, which doesn't return until next summer, and whatever is new.

Nip Tuck has been given 2 more seasons though the next season will contain mainly the episode order lossed out previously due to the strike. I just only found out about Dirt a surprise I thought that was a hit.

The Riches got screwed twice over by the strike; like most shows, it took a dive in the ratings, and it had its already short 13-episode season cut down to 7 episodes.
