Has anyone made an Animated Series Enterprise model kit?

Has anyone painted a star trek model to more closely resemble the Animated Series U.S.S. Enterprise?

While the Animated Series Enterprise is supposed to be identical to the Original Enterprise, there are some apparent differences that mainly result from artistic licence and simplicity.

Differences:

-On the TOS Enterprise, the hull is matte grey, on the TAS Enterprise, the hull is more reflective, indicative of chrome.

-The yellow arrowhead on the hull livery is removed on the TAS version.

-The deflector dish on the TAS version is completely matte bown, whereas in TOS it is a slightly shiny bronze.

-The bussard collectors on the TOS enterprise (in HD anyway) are pink/orange with multicolor spinnybits, the TAS bussard collectors are orange with red spinnybits. This might not actually be a difference if you are just looking at truly TOS footage instead of TOS-R footage.

Not personally, but there was one--at a ST convention in the 1970s. A dealer / model maker had the 18-inch AMT kit rigged with lights and clearly painted like TAS' ship. Being young at the time, seeing a physical representation of an animated design was exciting. It was so different than the OS model, and certainly the built-up kit on the AMT box photo.

Probably the closest, at least in my eyes, would be the Enterprise in the three-ship set which was about 1/1600 scale. The Klingon Battle Cruiser even bears a resemblance to the animated version. Sadly, there was never a Roman Bird of Prey to compare to, as Filiation went with the repainted D7 for their Romulans.

The Corgi Enterprise seems based on that offering of the 3-ship set.
To me it looks a bit like the line drawing in the technical manual. Except no bevel edge to the saucer being two-tiered.

TAS has thicker nacelles.

The problem with "differences" in the physical proportions of the TAS ship is that they vary from drawing to drawing. But where it really gets complicated is where they rotoscope the models from TOS. Then you're thrown right back into the same 3 ft / 11 ft / Pilot 1 / Pilot 2 / Series differences that you had in TOS.

Now if you want to nail down the differences between the paint jobs, that might be a more attainable goal. IMHO.

The Revell 1/500 model kit has a lot of the TAS version in it- they merged every canon reference including TAS and while the ship looks wonky next to other kits it does have some of the proportions as seen in the animated show.

Not a bad kit- it even has clear windows for lighting.

I need to get one of those--a bit pricy for me with my hours cut.

I think a fan ship of just the side view, larger nacellles would do nicely. Like the Probert Ambassador, a true side view might be odd, what with the nacelle splay not exactly perfect--but it is worth a shot.
