Has anyone here experienced the entire Star Trek universe?

I mean watched every episode and movie; read every novel, short story and comic; played every video game. How long do you estimate it will take?

No. I was current with all of the TV and movies until Discovery came out, and I have read a good chunk of the books. Experiencing everything is achievable but not desirable to me. I would rather be a little broader in my interests than just Trek, and there is no prize for being a completionist.

It would probably take five years or so if you were starting from scratch to watch/read/play everything one time. It will be dependent on reading speed and availability.

Taking time out for meals, of course. Along with a few hours of sleep.

And are you including the "Strategic Operations Simulator" arcade game? Various mainframe and desktop computer games going all the way back to the 1970s (some of which probably no longer exist)? Every fanzine ever published, including tech-zines like "Star Fleet Assembly Manual"?

STO would be very tricky. Since they removed some content it may not be possible to experience literally every Star Trek content anymore. And even if you disregard that, STO has some missions that differ depending on your faction and very occasionally your species, so if you really, really, really wanted to get every last tid-bit you may have to replay the game a lot.

I'm up to date on most of the shows and movies, but that's it. I did stop watching Enterprise part way Season 2, and didn't go back until later in Season 3, so there might still be a few Season 2 episodes I haven't seen. I did eventually go back and watch all of Season 3.
With comics, novels, and STO content all coming out on a regular basis, I don't think there's any way I could go back and read/watch/play everything and stay up to date. I still haven't read most of the books and comics, or played most of the games, from before the early 2000s, and there is no way I could go back and read and play all of that, stay current with the new stuff.

I have no interest in fictional novels.
I do like to read "behind the scenes" books.

I'm ALMOST done watching all AV "mainline" star trek content (no clue how much random documentaries and such are even out there)

Having seen everything from TOS to whatever the current show release is not counting Lower Decks. There seems to be a TON of in-jokes in LD so I'm re-watching everything before I start watching that. I'm currently on TAS.

My plan is to eventually be caught up on all the shows. I see that as sort of like a 101 start to being a "Hardcore" fan.

Heck, I'm not even caught up on the shows. Still have to get back to Discovery and Picard... at some point.

I own almost all the episodes, there may be a few TOS I haven't seen.

I haven't seen the last four episodes of Lower Decks and I doubt that I will.

I've read a majority of the novels up to about four years ago. Many of the comics aren't worth the effort.

I don't like video games so they're out of the running and so is STO.

I'll stick to the shows going forward. At least the live action ones...

Fanzines don't count. Neither does stuff that no longer exists. Strategic Operations Simulator has been ported to numerous home consoles, so there's no need to buy the bulky arcade version.

Hmm. But like Asteroids, Tempest, Space Duel, and other vector games, it probably loses something in the translation. :p

I suddenly find myself remembering something I saw during my Freshman year at CSU Long Beach: somebody had written (if I remember right) a Star Trek-inspired, mainframe-based, graphics game that used a Tektronix DVST terminal (anybody else remember those? They were used extensively in the original version of "Cattlecar Gigangica" because they didn't have to be sync'd to the cameras).

Zines don't count? What's next? Mission to Horatius doesn't count? :p Bantam doesn't count? :p :p

Having grown up with Trek, I never knew for sure that I seen every episode of TOS and TNG. I had slowly been doing a straight watch of each for several years and completed TNG. Almost done with TOS and then I would have seen everything. But then I passed on Lower Decks and Discovery season 3. I doubt I’ll ever be able to say I’ve seen it all now.

I’ll never get all the books read but I may someday have all the comics under my belt. I’m getting relatively close.

Boy, "everything" is a tall order.
Every licensed thing would be more do-able. I mean who knows how many fanzines were ever mimeographed?
I watched every filmed/animated thing up until Lower Decks. Ish.
Somebody ring in who really has watched/read most every official thing. That'd be cool.

Watched all the series and movies, owning most of them.
Read / own all the novels from Mission to Horatius through Bantam, Pocket and Titan.
Read / own all the comics - digital versions of Gold Key; physical copies from Marvel, DC, Marvel again, Wildstorm and IDW.
Have collected many / most of the non-fiction books - all the (auto) biographies [autographed]; Making of Star Trek; The Star Trek Concordance, Compendiums, Art of ..., The Fifty-Year Mission(s); even the Marc Cushman behind the scenes series...
I have played Decipher's Star Trek Customizable Card Game, and collected many of the trading card sets from the 25th anniversary forward.
The one area I am short in is the games. I have played The Kobyashi Alternative back in high school and collected many of the FASA sourcebooks, but never played. I have played Star Trek Slots on Facebook.

I think I'm reconciled to the idea that I'll never be able to read all the books I want to. I'm a tragically slow reader. It's why I fix on a basic approach starting with TOS novels. I'll branch out from TOS as I get further along, I have a long term reading plan. I am currently playing catch up for TNG/DS9/VOY. Then I'll do ENT. Staying caught up with CBS access stuff while I can. A good steady diet of ST til I'm reduced to just novels and comics.

This is without taking into consideration the Doctor Who and Star Wars novels I also want to read.

To saying nothing of novels and stories that are not tie-in fiction.

You'd probably be hard pressed to find someone that's seen every episode, read every story across all media, played every game. In general, at least reading from fans here and other sites like trekmovie.com it seems most Trekkies pick and choose what they will follow and I've never found anyone that's actually tried to experience everything.

Can it be done? I'm sure it can (at least subtracting out things that just are no longer possible like elements of the games people have noted that no longer exist).

For me I've seen everything through season 2 of Discovery. I always say I'm very old school and still have cable--and I'm not paying extra money for CBS All Access when I'm already paying for cable. So for the new shows I just have to wait for them to come out on Blu-Ray.

As for non-canon Star Trek, or put another way, tie-ins, I'm basically a novel reader. I have read almost every Star Trek novel there is (well, English language novels anyway, including the English translation of the Prometheus trilogy)--I probably have less than 25 to go before I've read them all, that includes the Bantam novels. So in that respect you might say I'll one day be a completist.

But I've never been a comic book reader and I'm not into video games, so I don't really have any interest going down those paths. And they don't really tie together so I never felt the need to make myself read those. I mean, occasionally there's a crossover storyline or character that might appear in a book, but nothing that makes me feel I missed something.

When I finish Season Seven of Voyager, I'll have seen every filmed Star Trek show made. Gave up on reading all the novels and comics along time ago. Played maybe one Trek video game.

Why are you comparing fanzines to Mission to Horatius and Bantam novels? The latter are officially licensed books, no different from Pocket's novels.
I was being facetious, and should have probably added a second :p to underscore that. Probably by the time you read this, I will have corrected that oversight. Then again, the "taking time out for meals" comment (a quote from a very old George Carlin stand-up bit) was kind of an indication of how seriously I wasn't taking this thread.

But you did say "the entire Star Trek universe."
