has anyone heard from The Lone Redshirt?

He left some stories hanging and just faded out-anybody know anything? No knocks against the great writers on this site but his Bluefin stories are probably my favs of all time and I haven't even seen him comment on anything in a while. TLR-Where are you?:(

I PMed him a while back to ask the same thing .... he had a bunch of RL stuff going on and was busy, but otherwise okay. He said he hoped to find some time to write again soon. That was several weeks ago, though.

I agree, his stories were some of the best, and I miss reading them!

I know...I've missed him too!

I am also worried for PSGarak. Been trying to get hold of him since just after Christmas, including by e-mail, and had no response. I'm just praying that it's nothing but a computer problem!

I too look forward to TLR's return and the resumption of his stories - hope he's okay :) Same for PSGarak, though I've not his stuff.

Whilst we're on the subject of people who've left the boards, does anyone know what happened to Emperor Tiberius?

I loved his fanfiction stories (and have most of them downloaded onto my computer) but always wondered.

If I remember correctly, he left here because he felt he had told all the Trek stories he wanted to. I liked his stories. He also had some original ones, but I don't know whether he continued with them anywhere else.
I, too, hope, TLR is returning soon, I always enjoy his stories.

I hope you are wrong-he left tales unfinished...

For those who want to check out TheLoneRedshirt's fantastic past stories (and everybody who cares about high-quality, original Trek fan fiction really should), visit UnitedTrek.org for his Tales of the USS Bluefin saga.

I also highly recommend his terrific crossover with Gibraltar, 'Backup', available at Ad Astra.
or
The Star Trek: Sutherland story 'Rocks and Shoals', also at UnitedTrek.org.
or
In a bit of shameless self-promotion, check out the feature length Star Eagle novel, 'All The Sinners, Saints' at StarEagleAdventures.com, featuring the Bluefin, Akinola and his crew.

Hi everyone,

I apologize for my extended absence from the fanfic board. As has been mentioned, real life has been hectic for the past few months. I won't bore you with details, suffice it to say I'm doing well but I remain very busy (a good thing - trust me!).

My time for writing and reading has been seriously curtailed for a while. I do hope to complete the stories that are in-progress (four or five different stories, I believe) but I can't make any estimate on when I will get to them. Perhaps by year's end I will have wrapped up a couple.

I've missed reading your stories - there are truly some outstanding writers on this board. I'm very far behind in my reading, but hope to catch up at some point. Please don't take my lack of comments as a slight, but I don't anticipate having much time for reading any time soon.

Thanks for the kind comments - it's always gratifying to know that others enjoy the stories as much as I enjoy writing them.

I have been toying with a short-story idea that might fit this month's challenge. If I can throw it together before the end of the month, I'll post it. Maybe that will prime the pump and get me moving on these other stories that are languishing in space-dock.

TLR

*Mistral sighs with relief* So glad the rumors of your demise were mistaken, at best. I, too, have RL from a thousand directions and have slacked off in writing. Plan to get back into it, too, as time permits. Missed your unique voice, TLR!
