I remember almost all of those posters - some real blasts from the past there. A few started new accounts. Several of them simply left the board for whatever reason(s). (Some of them "left" several times. )

BlackDog and Red77 I see over at LiveJournal. Anna1 posted in someone's LJ within the past week or so. Jean Prouvaire shows up there from time to time.

I'd really like to know if da Woim and blingawa are okay, though.

I would wholeheartaedly support such a suggestion, but don't get your hopes up. Perhaps simply things that where allowed once upon a time, like sideboobs. Who know, we might get KTR back if the latter was once again not an issue.

All in all I'd say the function would be to have more open and free discussions about such matters without having to worry about the age rating. Wh o knows perhaps there might even be discussions about favorite pornstars and the such (though I don't really see the need to post explicit pics for such threads, people can just find them themselves)

I remember laughing at the guy who called himself 'Techman' and then refused to upgrade to a DVD player (this was the point where VHS had already become irrelevant). I clicked on his history at Wordforge (which I never visit, I mean seriously, people who defect from a Star Trek BBS subforum to start a new board? ), and I saw that he was defending the might of VHS against DVRs. A more misnamed poster I have never seen, but I'm sad to learn he's gone.

Yeah, honestly, I couldn't stand the guy. BUT he was a hoot (hilarious really), hi served his country as a Ranger (I gotta respect that). Despite the fact that he irritated the piss out of me with his stubbornness, he will be missed.

I believe it was a heart attack. He had been complaining about chest pains the week before, and we were telling him to go to the hospital and have it checked out. We didn't hear from him for a few days and then we got the news over at WF.

I enjoy the conversations around here about many subject because more often then not people try and make a point thoroughly trough respectful conversation, good grammar, and quite honestly I feel we got a pretty okay IQ level for a place on the net. I'm just morbidly curious to see if it could work as well as I hope it would.

Sort of OT, but your question got me thinking, I was on this baseball forum, and there was a guy from New York who worked in one of the twin towers, he had actually made a post about 10 minutes before the plane struck that first tower. . That thread kind of became the memory thread for this poster, it was pretty tragic.
