I had a fan-built one, on loan, in my loungeroom, and then in my study, for about ten years. The arms were perfect for resting encyclopedia volumes upon.

Hmm...I see the original went for $304,750. Sadly, a touch out of my budget at present.

I suspect they will sell a few of these but not many. Many people make their own chairs, but I do not know anyone who has bought one.

I see one of those every time I have a flight, advertised in the magazine provided at every seat where they try to sell you all sorts of insane stuff that you'd never purchase if you had both feet on the ground. But after three hours in a cramped plane seat, that roomy chair starts to look very attractive. XD

No, I haven't actually bought it. Way out of my price range.

... I think the magazine where I keep seeing that chair advertised even uses the "you can boldly go where no fan has gone before!" line. Way to recycle their descriptions.
