Um, yeah, I got that. Which is why I posted a source supporting my claim that the moving stairs are not in the books. Which they aren't.

Gambon completely lacks the warmth and empathy that Harris so easily projected. His (Harris') death was a real loss to the films.

Couldn't disagree more. I thought Harris's old man wheeze was completely inappropriate to DD. Gambon has a great quirky energy that seems much more in keeping with the style of Rowling's writing.

I completely agree there. I particularly like the way he acts in the third one with Harry and Hermione in the infirmary.
