News Harry Dean Stanton (1926-2017)

He was also a singer. We saw him, with The Call as his back-up band, way back in the day.

RIP

This may sound odd, but I didn't think he was 91. He had a lived in, yet ageless quality.
Thanks for many memorable performances. RIP

Farewell Mr. Stanton

Rip. Repo Man is one of my cult favorites. I always loved it when he turned up unexpectedly in some other movie or show I had no idea he was on.

Nooooooo. Paris, Texas is one of my favorite movies. :(

Holy CRAP, he was 91? I had no idea. Good run, sir. You will be missed.

He was Mr. Walsh (Andie's dad) in Pretty In Pink, too. I will miss him now, he was a great part of the 1980's movie universe-now he's one with it.

Had to be one of the last WW2 veterans acting. So many memorable roles, big and small. Cool Hand Luke, Rancho Deluxe, Dillinger, The Missouri Breaks, Straight Time, Wild at Heart... I just keep thinking of more. Repo Man and Paris Texas the same year.

"The life of a repo man is always intense."
