I ask this every year as the last part of the world to bring in the new year (West Coast, meaning after the NY Ball Drops, New Years is "officially" Over

What's taking so long. It's the future dammit. Other than the Internet, it doesn't feel like much has changed in 20 years

I guess we can say that many people have Androids, but yeah, my 1990 self would be disappointed to find it's just some operating system for a walkie-talkie.
Couldn't one argue that the internet has lead to the Smartphones? I mean Cell Phones are a big change in the last 20 years, but Smartphones just tend to be Cellphones with easy internet access.
I guess Hybrid cars could also be a big change, but if you really want to cut down on oil, invent a transporter device. It runs on electricity and no oil needed. Might solve a number of the worlds problems.
