Happy New Year

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope it's a good one for everyone. Farewell, 2010, as far as we know, we didn't make contact. Only 12 months to go to the end of the world (again!)

^ I was quite impressed with the London ones myself. I don't usually watch them, but I did this year (on the telly, that is; I'm not going to brave London on NYE!) and thought the music was very well chosen, with the firework choreography being really well done.

I watched it with the sound turned down and it was like they literally set the Eye on fire. I mean you talk about the sky lighting up, it was like watching a firework finale for the entire program. Quite cool.

Here's a video my friend made of Taipei's fireworks.

The tall building is Taipei 101...about 490m tall....quite the thing to see the fireworks coming off of that!

I'd also like to add that Dick Clark still rocks. :mallory:

That 2012 end-of-the-world stuff is bull crap. But when Dick Clark goes (and may it be many many years from now), I'm going to be a little nervous about what happens after we reach "1" during that first count down to New Years without him.
