Happy Fiftieth Anniversary...

I'm at the NYC Auto show, so I took some pics of the 50th anniversary Mustang for you Dennis.

Awesome! thanks!

Mustang owners are a bit contrary about styling updates - you can bet that faux gas cap will be an in-demand aftermarket add-on since it's being eliminated from the production '15s (and despite more than a few current owners having come to feel that it's tacky and deleting it from their fifth-gen cars ).

Well, Dennis, you've motivated me. I'm getting a Mustang. Hope to get one by this summer if not by the end of the year. Likely a 2014 model if not a new one maybe a previously owned/program vehicle once the 2015's hit the showrooms. I need to save up some money for a down-payment and secure some finances to ensure I can safely afford a payment and the insurance on two cars (likely keep my current car as a back-up/poor weather driver.) But I'm going to do it. I've wanted a Mustang all my life and I'm ready to do it!

My Father-in-Law just bought a 2014 Mustang GT. Beautiful car and I'm very happy for him. He's been talking about getting one for a bunch of years. He had a late 80's GT for a good while in the 90's, but hated the constant repairs and poor quality back then.

I'm just wondering what the hell a 78yr. old is going to do with 420hp.? ;)

Well, really, what is *anyone* going to do with that much horsepower? I mean a quarter of that is more than enough to get you on the highway.

Go for it! :)

Just saw this:

Not a fan of the faux retro style that seems to be in vogue, but glad you like it. The 50th photos in this thread appear to be an improvement.
