Depends. If were talking in military terms I learned to pronounce it as cash-ay (I.e. 'We've just found an enemy cache point full of food and weapons). Maybe that comes from the military operating in an international environment. But then again, you guys were blowing stuff and people up before we were, so I'll go with the original on that one. But for IT purposes Ive always called it Kay-Sh when speaking with other US IT users.

Novitas, you've been around here long enough to know that thread necromancy can and will be considered spamming. Three months is pretty long for a thread to remain dead, especially when you're resurrecting a somewhat spammy birthday thread as it is.

I whole-heartedly disagree that this was a "spammy thread". We take the internet for granted that it works, and I found out that and important component of that internet was celebrating a milestone, and so I shared it in the science and technology thread where I thought people could appreciate it and maybe chat about it. So sue me, I won't make the same mistake again.

^ Trufax. TCP/IP was a huge milestone for both networking in general and the internet in particular.

Furthermore, although resurrecting threads is not really something I grok, I'm not sure I understand why you were so quick to give out a warning for it, Terri. Has Novitas done it on other occasions, or in more malicious ways? I'm not sure I understand why a friendly wouldn't have sufficed...

I said "somewhat". Birthday threads of any sort tend to get spammy after a bit just by nature, Ford. By all means, keep celebrating the milestones in technology with us. I have zero problems with that. I encourage it, as a matter of fact.
