Happy Birthday Smokey Bear

The US Forest Service's iconic Smokey Bear (no the) turns 65 today.

When I was two, I got a stuffed Smokey Bear. That was my favorite stuffed animal and I think it got to the point where mom couldn't sew it back together anymore.

Happy Birthday Smokey, and remember, only you can prevent forest fires.

Ah, Smokey, I fondly remember Smokey. Hadn't seen anything with him in it for a long time. My Dad worked for the National Park Service and would always get annoyed when people confused the Forest Service icon with the Park Service. Kind of funny!
