Happy 80th JL Picard

Crewman47

Commodore
Newbie
I just realised that on this date, 13th July, 377 years in the future, (or 6 years after Nemesis) our Captain, Jean Luc Picard, will be turning 80. If TNG was still in production either by series or another Movie what do you suppose he'd be doing to celebrate this milestone? Will he still be in command of the Enterprise or will decide that now is the time to retire?

If I understand correctly none of the Novels are set in 2385 yet (I'm assuming there still within the Nemesis time setting) so do you think any novel will ever address this at any time?

So anyway lets all wish him a happy birthday and all hope for many more.

Is nobody interested in this bit of trivia? I thought it would get at least a few talking about it. What is it about the post that turned people off or does nobody care anymore about the little things?

As you can tell I'm not that good at writing up posts so if there's something in the presentation then let me know.

Happy Birthday ~ Patrick Stewart!!!! TNG's own Captain JL Picard!!:):techman: Have a great 80th birthday from all your fans here on the TREK BBS!! and Thank You for all your hard work on Star Trek The Next Generation and beyond.:techman:

Patrick Stewart is 68 years old.

I find this a difficult concept to wrap my head around. For this to work the TNG universe has to exist in some timeline parallel to our own, a concept I had never really considered before.

I tend to not relate the TNG timeline to our own timeline, or if I did, I would consider us to be far in the past of the current events in TNG, Picard therefore never having been born yet.

I know what you're trying to say but it made my head hurt so I stoppped thinking about it. Kudos to you.

I think he will sit in his ready room, with a pile of Starfleet reports on one side of the table and a pile of archeological reports on the other, a cup of tea in hand and a volume of Shakespeare in the other, trying hard to forget his birthday. :p

Getting him to take a vacation is hard enough. :D
