Happy 20th Anniversary, Farscape

Not just one of the best bromances, but also of the best heterosexual romances, too, and one of the best science-fiction villains.

Damn you, Sci-Fi Channel. I'm still pissed at you for your premature canceling after promising us season 5!

Oh yeah, John/Aeryn was a great relationship, and I would say Scorpy is not just one of the best sci-fi villains, but one of the best villains in anything, period.
So how many other people started watching it today?
Even after 20 years the pilot still hold up remarkably well. If the effects had been just a bit better, I could have easily thought it was brand new.

This thread has made me take out my DVDs. I'll probably watch my favorite episodes from Seasons 1-3.

I’m traveling but I did watch some clips last night. I have been doing a Voyager rewatch but I think I might jump over to Farscape to celebrate this year.

I have Amazon Prime originally because I wanted the next day delivery. I didn't even know about the streaming until a few months ago, but I've been happy and occasionally impressed. (Bosch, Hanna)

I watched this series on original airing, and have the movie DVD, but haven't revisited it in years. I just noticed Farscape was available and I've started re-watching with my 14 year old (completely comic and sci-fi indoctrinated) son. He loves it.

I remain fully convinced this is the best series I've ever watched, a smooth combination of Buck Rodgers, Star Wars, Star Trek, and Die Hard, with an appropriate dash of Buddhism that doesn't feel cheap.

The characters are all iconic and totally drive plots that Gene Roddenberry would have been jealous of, and include one of the best "Big Bads" in the history of the genre. And Jim Henson aliens.

If you are dropping into this thread out of curiosity, WATCH THIS SERIES. The worst of this series beats out the best of most. The best of this series is.... out of this world.

I didn't even know there were doing an omnibus collection of all of the graphic novels. I have all of the trade paperbacks (and hardback covers of the first few when they were doing that).

Don't care about the DVD collection as I have the complete series collection with The Peacekeeper Wars on the side.

If you're willing to go digital, then all of the issues, along with the three D'Argo and Scorpius miniseries are available. The last 12 issues of the ongoing series are also available in a digital collection.
