Why no Michael Myers in this film? When my ex introduced me to these Halloween movies, I remember watching part III a long time ago and Michael Myers wasn't even in it.

The film originally had nothing to do with the franchise. The title was tacked on basically as an afterthought.

Actually, the original intent was for the series to be entirely different stories set on Halloween - Michael wasn't supposed to become the regular killer.

I love Season of the Witch. I wish they would have continued with the anthology idea. Could have been some interesting stuff.

Exactly. As was also said the disappointing box office didn't help.
