Halloween Ends

The past three are better than all but three of the others since 1978. I can live with these newest ones.

The original two and Season of the Witch were and still are my favorites of them all.

Myers and Laurie are so past the shelf date of being interesting. This quasi-reboot / half-sequel / alternate universe series has been run into the ground so much, that Halloween III: Season of the Witch now seems to be the most inventive and fresh entry in the franchise.
Plus, steampunk androids!

Kind of felt like they came up with an idea to carry on the story beyond Michael Myers but chickened out at the last minute, but then they also gave Michael a pretty final fate. So next time they do a movie it's gonna have to be yet another reboot.

Just watched Halloween (2018). It was pretty good but why didn’t he kill the baby? I know that’s a rather sadistic thing to ask but he’s supposed to be pure evil. Not killing that baby made him less so.
I’ll be making my way to Ends but I have to watch Kills first, which I’ve heard from many people is just atrocious. Some even saying that Resurrection and Zombie’s Halloween II are better.

In my opinion H20 is better than 2018 or Ends. Resurrection is the one where Busta Rhymes kicks Michael's ass so...yeah. There's a lot worse in the franchise. But that one's not that good.

Something they tried to do in Halloween IV as well but also chickened out.
They could do a reboot but what about a sequel to Halloween V? I’m sure someone out there could do a better job trying to connect the story threads there than what we got (in both versions)

Happy Halloween Eve, everybody!!

Already Halloween here. Clocks have even gone back.

I watched Halloween Kills. It wasn’t as bad as the majority have it made it out to be. Sure the mob stuff was a bit silly and people made some really dumb decisions but it was still enjoyable. Michael was very brutal in this. He was even intimidating without his mask which was impressive.
I’m thinking about getting a month of Peacock to watch the final one tonight for Halloween. Does anyone know if the $4.99 option puts ads in the movie itself or just before?

There've been at most three genuinely good Halloween movies since 1982 and two of them were released starting in 2018.

H20 is the only one between 1982 and 2018 that I can watch and actually enjoy from beginning to end. The Rob Zombie remakes do nothing for me and most of the others during that 36-year timeframe are so-so at best and downright annoying at worst.
