^Sewing for those kinds of projects is not at all difficult. You could easily teach yourself and then work up from there.
So I've been told.
Many, many years ago, my girlfriend (back when I dated girls
) tried to teach me. We "made" a blanket for my car. All I had to do was sew the satin binding (I think that's what it was called) along the top and bottom edges of a big piece of fleece. The result was not pretty.

If I'd been driving a car, instead of a sewing machine, I would have been pulled over for DUI, what with the weaving and speeding up and slowing down.
I was scarred for life.

But, 20 years later ..., I just might be able to give it another try without having immobilizing flashbacks.
Oh, the horror! The horror!

I am officially holding you responsible for the nightmares I expect to be having tonight.

) I had to make my own. There was no way I was putting all this work into a costume just to go around with that screen-printed number on my uniform top. So I got some sheet styrene and hacked together my own. It turned out alright. I am not happy with the edges but the darn thing is so small it was hard to get them crisp. Next time I do one of these I am sculpting it from clay (to get the cleanest edges), running a mold and casting it in resin. It would have been easier and faster with a much better result.
