Novacaine does that, but usually they'd use something stronger for an actual extraction.....
Had my upper wisdom teeth yanked out today!

Novacaine does that, but usually they'd use something stronger for an actual extraction.....
They pulled my lower left wisdom tooth two weeks ago. Apparently I have humongous molars so the extraction (although not painful) left a nasty wound that has taken almost two weeks to fully heal. The first few days eating and drinking was quite an excercise. I will not mention the pain and agony.
I still have five wisdom teeth left though, and the lower right one is due for extraction in May.

I have the four everyone has or can have, plus two additional small ones on either side of my upper jaw.
