Sirtis definitely did well with some pretty bad material.
True. But among the regular female cast, she was my least-liked.
Granting that my first run of TNG I was in middle school watching reruns with my father.
Without knowing which criteria to apply, in general and for consummate professionalism and dedication, I'd have to say Kathryn Janeway is one of the most impressive women Starfleet has ever put out there. Top-notch scientist, leader, humanitarian, and extreme loyalty to crew and friends, she doesn't just talk the talk, she walks the walk. Moreover, one of the hardest tasks ever thrust upon a captain, man or woman, befell her, and she was alone and without support and far from home, and yet she persevered and emerged victorious.
Quite a few of her crew died in the initial disaster, through no fault of the captain, but by the end, she came home with more crewmembers than she started with. She's just one hell of a person.
Contrary to popular opinion, the fact a lot of behind the scenes, off camera, bartering and trading had to go on with the occasional technologically advanced societies in the delta quadrant they ran across, I say it could have been done. And she did it.

Someone with a very strong personality might also be Kate Pulaski. I didn't necessarily like her, but she told everyone what she thought flat in their faces, including Picard.
I think, had she been Voyager's CMO in the Delta Quadrant, I could imagine some epic conflicts between her and Janeway, and I'm not convinced Janeway would have won all of them.

I have watched every trek episode of every series, met near all of the actors in person but both of these ladies on and off screen are impressive.
With Sirtis she was nice in person but on screen rubbish role and every time got control of the ship destined to crash it lol

Troi was more fun when she was drunk. I actually thought she did a good job there with Zefram.
Are we talking acting or looks? Regulars or guest stars?
It's been said, that's up to you to decide what criteria you wish to use.

Doesn't have to be regulars. Guest stars are valid candidates. Although I think whomever you select should have had a speaking role at least. I'm mean, sure you could pick "the cute redhead who walked by in the background in this scene in this episode" if you want. But who else is going to remember her?

Oh, I'm sorry. I thought the person who made the thread said it was "up to you," and I ranked Janeway earlier, but on a lark, I used appearance later, too. I didn't know it was against the board rules.
