Guys, it's tomorrow!

what are u guys going to do to pass the time until the premiere today? me i figured i watch the last season of enterprise cause from a continuity point discovery takes place 96 years after the events of the enterprise episode Terra Prime.

I am working today. I am also trying to finish the Star Trek book I am currently reading (I am almost done) "The Face of the Unknown" by Christopher Bennett

I am trying to decide if I am going to stay up at watch live at 0130 my time or just sleep and catch on Netflix when I wake in the morning when it drops.............I have a feeling I'm going to be drinking coffee all night. 46 but feeling like a kid at Christmas...............football game better not go into OT!

Come to think of it - neither have I!

I watched the live premieres of every series except TOS and TAS, but the only one I was truly excited about was TNG because it gave new content after a decades of reruns. This is kind of the same (and almost 30 years later, to the day).

The only Star Trek TV series premiere I didn't get a chance to watch live was TOS (I was 3 years old when that aired ;).)

My first Trek series watched week to week from the Premiere was TAS on Saturdays - and then every Berman era Trek series.

I really hope I don't come away from this pilot as disappointed as I was after the TNG pilot aired in 1987 - but we'll see.

Funny story though was that both my Parents went to a public test screening (it was nothing special the networks did this type of this for most pilots) of "The Cage". They didn't know what they'd be seeing either and neither one was much of a science fiction fan, although growing up my mom knew I was so she took me to see many of the B type science fiction films of the 1970ies.) And it was "The Cage" and not "Where No Man Had Gone Before" because she remembers the women weren't happy to see a female Second in Command (And for my Mon it wasn't that she was female, she didn't want a show that effectively showed female line officers serving on a military ship, because she did like the of women being drafted into the Military in the future) - and she also remembers the big laugh the audience let out when they saw Spock. For her it was BOTH the ears and the over arched eyebrows she found funny/ridiculous. (She told me this story when I tried to get her top watch an episode with me when I was 6 years old.)

I left TrekBBS when Enterprise ended, unsure we'd ever get more Trek on TV. I could not be happier right now. 12 years. Wow.
