GURPS

Has anyone played with the RPG system called GURPS? A friend mentioned it as a really good system. I am not familiar with it, but to be fair I am not into RPG all that much except for the Star Wars Saga Edition. Thanks for your comments.

My husband LOVES Gurps.

Unfortunately, that one sentence is all I can tell you about it. Even though hubby doesn't get involved in role-playing games any more (not for years now), he still reads the books and finds it fascinating. SO---I guess it must be good.

I love the GURPS books, but I don't actually use them for gaming; I just think they're cool.

GURPS sure came a long way from it's roots in the micro games Melee and Wizard.

Actually, it seems like they haven't come out with anything in a while, now that I think of it; I'll need to check their website....
