Why can't we have multiple control schemes in the cockpit?

It’s definitely not one for casual or new fans, that’s for sure. The amount of references they make to Zeta and ZZ go over my head a bit since I haven’t seen either show yet.I'm watching Qx and I like it. But I'm not sure who this series is for. Anyone who hasn't seen the original Gundam will be thinking "Who the hell are these people?".
People, in your opinion, is humanity as a whole better off in the Qx Timeline or the original one? Because it seems to me that all the disasters in the UC have always happened because there are these or those nostalgic for Zeon who continue to want to make war. Maybe if Zeon survived maybe we would live in a state of Cold War, but at least there wouldn't always be some nutcase throwing nuclear bombs or colonies.
I've always found the amount of conflict in the UC ridiculous (yes I know they have to produce content to show...). It's not like after WWII some nostalgic Nazis hid in the woods with Tiger tanks and continued to fight the Allies.Well except it appears that half assed as it was the Earth Federation did actually try to rebuild after the One Year War while Zeon can't becuase they don't have the resources and what they do have is going to military projects not helped by Zeon still being a house of cards and god knows what happens when they inevitably fall apart.
Plus its only 0085, I'm pretty sure the regular 0085 was equally not having much war and then two years later two wars happened back to back.
Earth certainly seems to be in much better condition in this timeline, since Operation Stardust never happened and we only had the one colony drop. Australia is still fucked in any timeline, it seems.People, in your opinion, is humanity as a whole better off in the Qx Timeline or the original one? But Zeon is still that bunch of genocidal idiots. Earth is the only habitable planet in the solar system. I don't think it's a brilliant move to destroy it. Kycilia, from what I understand, wanted to use the doomsday weapon against our planet.Earth certainly seems to be in much better condition in this timeline, since Operation Stardust never happened and we only had the one colony drop. This is certain. Earth is really safe only for now, thanks to Newtypes increasing hate for Oldtypes. Earth is a symbol of that hate. But Zeon is still that bunch of genocidal idiots. I doubt G-QuuuuuuX will get a second season, because the damage has been done. The show really needed to have 24 episodes to get through this narrative because nothing came together very well in the end, even if I very much appreciated seeing the OG White Devil kicking some ass.For me episode 11 was amazing because Char's Counter-Attack was just released in Japan about the time I was getting really into Japanese animation and going to a local Japanese anime club once a month to get my anime fix; and I finally saw the film with only printed synopsis in hand because back in those days fans subtitling was rare and doves were either really horrible or virtually unheard of.
So yeah, at the end of episode 11 when the RX-78 II appeared and they started playing the theme song from Char's Counter-Attack over the ending credits, I actually verbally said "Holy shit!" to the screen. And I really wondered if they were going to have Amaro Ray show up from the other side.
Then I saw the final episode of the Cour ( episode 12) - and thought to myself, wow they really failed to nail The Landing here in a big way.
Overall I was not impressed. The best episodes for me were the redoing of the original UC Gundam episodes as seen from this universe.
I really never cared for the principal character Machu, or her Courier girlfriend; are the crew they worked with during the early episodes where you have the corporate Mobile suit battles.
Yes comma Char is still alive in this universe; and Multiverse Lala is probably happily dead realizing she succeeded in creating a universe that still exists where Char is still alive; or who knows, now that she saved char, maybe she's alive creating other universes where Amuaro doesn't kill himself at the end saving Humanity?
Whatever. I will admit the series had a very interesting premise, and some episodes I enjoyed; but at this point I don't care if it gets another core or a fullsecond season at all.
YMMV
