Guidance on selling a signed USS Enterprise

Hi folks!
I have in my posession a 1995 USS Enterprise model with signatures from Denise Crosby, Will Riker, Brent Spiner, Gates McFadden, and Levar Burton that was collected by my uncle.
Click here to see the model and signatures...
The model has been given to me to sell by my aunt who was sadly made a widow just over ten years ago. I'm really after some advice on where I'm best placed to sell such an item, I figured that if anyone knows it would be you guys n' gals. I'm based in the UK but would happily sell to anywhere in the world. I appreciate any advice or direction you can offer.
Thanks :-)

You may want to engage the services of a reputable autograph authentication service, to include certificates as an assurance to potential buyers.

I truly appreciate your replies as I'm very much in the dark on this.

I totally think you're right about having the autographs certified. This will add value and will provide quality reassurance to any potential buyer, now and in the future. I've done some looking around and have found www.autografica.co.uk who I will call in the morning to ask for help. I know the signatures are authentic as my aunt was there when they were signed but for the benefit of the item I will seek to get them documented professionally.

That said, I've just listed the item on eBay but I have absolutley no idea on what to put down as a starting price. I'm guessing it's going to be worth a fair bit due to the signatures so I've listed it with a starting bid of £1000 with an option to make an offer, does that sound about right or am I way off do you think?.

I've had a look around for similar items but it's pretty unique. Similar items I've found on google searches have cheap and nasty plastic looking bases/stand but this one is solid and of a shape not common on search results.

Again, any help is greatly appreciated especially with regards to value. Thanks guys n' gals!

It might have some slight novelty value because of the item itself. As for the rest, they've been selling their autographs at conventions for decades. Literally.

If my conversion is right, you're thinking about $1200? No offense, but you won't get anywhere near that.

Thanks for your reply Boorish Jackass, I appreciate your input. To start off with I felt it was better to over price than under price, wouldn't you agree?

I do wonder what a good value would be. This in part is why I'm here I guess, for your expertise.

Any guidance is very much appreciated if anyone has any healthy input.

Throw it on EBay and set a high reserve price and see if anyone bites.

That was my thinking only eBay charge extortionate amounts of money to have a high reserve price so I setup the auction with the option for people to make an offer. The item only went up today, on a 10 day auction, so hopefully it will get some keen interest - if not at least it will give me an indication as to where I should place it financially moving forward.

I got the impression from my Aunt that she was wanting it to go to a home where it is valued for what it is, where it can be loved, rather than stored away.

Sorry, no soliciting. I edited the sales link out of your post.
