Guests stars we never got....

Lorne Green
Michael Landon
Dan Blocker
Pernell Roberts
David Canary

Any of the main Bonanza Cast would have been cool.

Also
James Arness
or any of the other main Gunsmoke cast.

Aside from the obvious tragedy, I used to envy Robert Wagner - married to Natalie Wood, working every day with Stephanie Powers (on Hart to Hart), and best friends with Jill St. John. Lucky bastard.

Oooo - Jill St. John! She'd have made a nice working girl on Ripley's Pleasure Planet.

He would have been nice, but I'm afraid he was too big of a movie star in this era to do a funky sci-fi TV show. Still, good idea, Warped9. :) I would have loved to see him act against Shatner, Nimoy and Kelley. That could have been some great chemistry.

Mmmm. Diana Rigg in a Starfleet miniskirt. :)

Ann-Margaret. Angel Tompkins. Raquel. Elke Sommer. Jill St. John...

Ohhhh :drool: and some more

Buddy Ebson would have made a great Starfleet Admiral who tap dances his way out of trouble.

Lee Marvin
James Garner
Steve McQueen
Sid Caesar as a quirky captain of a small SF vessel
Buddy Hacket
Martin Milner
Don Knotts
Harvey Korman
Fred MacMurray as a no nonsense Starfleet Admiral

I'm still somewhat surprised they never got Bruce Dern to show up at some point.
Really. Mess up his hair and he'd have made a great lunatic scientist. He'd have done a much better job of playing Lazarus in The Alternative Factor.

^ Maybe looking more like his "Long Hair" part from The Cowboys, a year earlier?

Speaking of Lazarus, wasn't Robert Brown a last-minute replacement for John Barrymore Jr.? IIRC, Barrymore either didn't show up for the first day of shooting or he walked off the set and never came back.

Barrymore could have been... interesting. At the very least, given his history, playing the insane Lazarus probably would've come very naturally to him.

Nice call, Kelso. He would have been perfect. Branded ended in '66 so he would have been available. :)

Yeah, I agree. (Although sadly I had to Google the name to recognize it was 'The Rifleman.')
