Every Starfleet captain knew that when they were out among the seas of stars, they would face perils and untold horrors that would mean the death of them and their crew. The 20th anniversery of the Battle of Wolf 359 would take on a new meaning. When the Nebula-class USS Talfard detected transwarp signatures in the vicinity of Wolf 359, they knew the Borg were about to retaliate for the destruction of their transwarp hub. What they did not know was that the Borg had prepared a special surprise for the powers of the Alpha and Beta Quandrants. When the captain of the Talfard saw the enormous Fusion Cube, he knew their final moments had arrived.

Felt a little drained so put this together. If anyone doesn't know, the Fusion Cube is 8 standard Borg cubes fused together to make a larger and more deadly vessel. It was first introduced in the Armada series and since then has been ported to games such as Legacy and Bridge Commander.

The base mesh is my outdated Borg Cube from 2 years ago. The Nebula belongs to Dave Metlesits.

So the modeling of the TOS era refit of the Columbus is done. Just need to go and do some actual textures for her, ooh fun.
Still need to redo that one section of the Pre-TOS version.

These ship designs look like the more TOS-like asthetic that was originally planned for the Kelvin-era ships in "Star Trek" '09! (Which I *really* wish that they had kept!)

I wish I had a link to some of the concept art...anyone here have any?

Just Google it. The Art of the Film book which I have doesn't have much.

A design I came up recently that sort of melds the John Eaves design with the BOP.

With all the milk jugs and balls appearing, I think I should finish mine. Adjusted the nacelles and pylons into a configuration that fits the hull a little better IMO.

These both look good. I like the disrupter detail on the Klingon shuttle.

The skeletons are an odd choice in landing gear though.

^Yeah, me too. The shuttlepod is really coming out well.

But no aft weapons for the Columbus? Not even in an upgrade?

Man, I really Like how you did the nacelles on the first page! How did you get the blurry glow effect?

And we return to the battleship. Structural changes based on some Museum ships I've been recently looking at. Not sure I'll go with the roll bar idea yet. Oddly enough the secondary hull reminds me of the JJ Enterprise. Looks better here though.

Not sure how much I like the primary hull. I may warm up to the soft edged look once it has more detail.
