I always liked Phlox. I always joyfully satisfied seeing this actor on other shows - Nip/Tuck, yeash(!) and as much fun he is as a [fellow] nerd or regular Joe, he plays a great bad guy. I saw an interview once with him and his wife on startrek.com and thought, "nice guy." This clinches it. What a great guy.
BTW, if you ever talk to him again. Tell him I think he'll make a great gay captain in the sixth Star Trek series!

I had to save it to my computer before I could play it but that was very, VERY cool and real nice of him to do. How many actors would stop and chat with someone on the street and then let them film them when they're not all fixed up and handsome? Not many, I feel safe in saying. Kudos to John Billingsley!!!

That was great.
It was John Billingsley's character Phlox that kept me interested in the show when the plot wasn't able to hold it together. I remember watching the very first episode, and the moment I saw Phlox, I thought "I'm going to like this guy". And I did.

He was also the only reason i stayed watching as long as i did. I'm not sure if the nice guyishness of him was supposed to be in his character or it was just the real him showing threw at times but i thought he made an excellent character with some actual depth that the others seemed to lack.

That's great. Phlox is awesome. I wish I could smile like he does, the amount of kids I could scare! Oh that would be awesome!
