Green Uniform?

Is there any chance in the next Trek movie we might see Kirk wearing the green wrap-around tunic version of the new timeline. I know there were a couple of variations of this back in the Original Series, but I always liked that uniform. It always seemed like a good change of pace to the look of the series.

Any thoughts or info on uniforms for the next film?

I thought the green wrap looked ridiculous. In fact, Hoshi mocked Archer's wearing of one in "In a Mirror, Darkly"

I'd like to see Kirk inverted - in a yellow undershirt and black smock.

I don't expect any changes in the starship duty uniforms from Star Trek XI, but we may see new landing party and formal attire, IMO.

I think her mocking was more general. Normal Starfleet wear seems highly subdued compared to Mirror 'verse fashion.

And yes I want to see some variation, I always liked the wrap around myself.

This being Star Trek evolving uniforms seems almost a certainty.

Ouch! I didn't realize there was that much hatred for the green tunic. I guess living in proximity, being a fan, and an alum of the North Texas Mean Green I've always had a fondness for that uniform and green in general.

It's not that unpopular...

...at least based on how many toons I've seen running around in STO wearing them.

I think William Shatner looked great in his green tunic in TOS, but it would be the wrong colour for Chris Pine. His bright blue eyes would clash with it.
