Green Lantern - Ryan Reynolds costume revealed!

I think they chose to do that because of the 3D element. Since we've not yet seen the suit in the context of how it will appear in the film I'll leave my judgment until I see it. I suspect that it will be pretty cool..

Exactly. It's the type of thing that we really can't judge entirely until we've seen the costume in action. People hated on the black leather costumes in X-Men until they saw them in live-action and in motion. The Green Lantern suit is unique because the special effect element will add a uniqueness to the movement and motion of the suit -- I highly doubt a still picture could do it justice.

Something else I just thought of...I wonder if we'll see or get mention of Manhunters in the film? They weren't in the first draft of the movie and "First Light" ignored them but they're still a crucial part of the mythos and Geoff Johns has made them relevant again since Hank Henshaw has been commanding them in the comics and they rebuilt him after Infinite Crisis. Since they're taking a lot of the material from Geoff's work it wouldn't be surprising if we got a mention or perhaps a flash back.

Weren't they a "dirty little secret" the Guardians kept from the Corps? Might be best if saved for a sequel.

Exactly. It will easy enough to introduce them in any sequels, should the need arise. There's no reason to bog down an origin story with every bit of Green Lantern lore.

Would've made a nice first-film villain, actually. Them, or the Zamarons.

Who cares about Hector Hammond?
