It was okay, but, as others have pointed out, Hal Jordan is an almost non-character in the movie. He is very one-dimensional. We know almost nothing about him other than the events in the movie.

Also, was it me, or did he just take everything in too easily. Dead alien? No biggie. Going into space and visiting other words? Meh. Learning about the universe at large? Whatever.

This really was "Sinestro: The Movie!"

Well..I liked it. I liked the fast pace, and I liked Hal in this version. But more important to my liking it is the fact my friend, who wouldn't know who green lantern was if you paid him money to tell you, thought it was well done and promising idea for a movie.

So..for me..it hits on all buttons...

Yeah, I get that he has "no fear," but that doesn't mean he can't be a little surprised or amazed at some of the bizarre stuff happening around him.

Hopefully that's something the live-action movie does a better job with.

That's another thing. I don't think the movie went into why the ring chose Hal. It just seemed to be a random picking.
