Honestly, the one photo where you can see her face clearly only somewhat resembles Lively - the nose is rather different. Whoever it is, she's a beautiful young woman.

Well, this drives her name - and inevitably, GL's - up on the search engines either way.

That gets into spoilers, but the origin of Sinestro's ring in the movie is different than in the comics. The movie version makes more sense in terms of weaving all of this into a single story rather than the mythology-by-accretion process of the old comics, IMAO.

That was awesome. I love the fact that it seems (from all the footage I've seen to date) that Mark Strong has Sinestro's mannerisms and poses down pat. I think Ryan Reynolds will be just fine as Hal. I'm starting to warm up to him in the role. @Captain Craig...that's outstanding! I wish I was going with you! I'm going with non comic fans so I'll be spending most of the movie afterwards getting a migraine explaining things :)

Yeah, the snippets of Strong's performance coupled with the remarks about how totally committed to the Corps Sinestro is make me particularly hopeful that they get a sequel out of this. I think there's about a fifty-fifty chance that it succeeds, at this point.

I believe a sequel has already been greenlit. They've been working on an outline for the second since last fall I think. Unless something has changed.

Yeah, but it makes no difference whatever whether a sequel has been greenlighted if this movie doesn't make its numbers. The money invested in an outline (or script) is trivial. If this movie fails, they'll kill any sequel without especial embarrassment about having "greenlighted" it - there's no real commitment.

So does Sinestro even use the yellow ring at all in this film? Or is he a GL through the whole thing?

Guess that kills the idea of a Sinestro Corps appearance then. :(

That alien world continues to look good in these clips. The production art is pretty nice, too, pure pulp.

There's never been any suggestion that Sinestro is other than a Green Lantern in this film. Which, given that it's Hal's origin, is good.

Aren't there two villains anyway? That, coupled with Jordan's origin is easily enough for a 2 hour movie.
