New doesn't always mean one where none is, but rather one that's brand new and fully functioning as opposed to an old, worn-out, almost useless one.

Transporters could be the ultimate costumer- providing clothes and reassembling your molecules into the appearance of an alien race you're trying to blend in with. But that'd ruin the plot of a show.

They keep coming up with ways to do so and keep dismissing/forgetting about them! Strange people! If there's one thing that I wouldn't forget!

Well, the holodeck is kinda like tv and/or video games, except much better.

I'm a couch potato. I love my TV and internet, so, the holodeck is my kind of technology. I can travel to any world and never get off my ass.

Warp Drive and the Transporter are the best creations as seen in the TOS era anyways but the voting wouldn't let me pick both! The later shows and films Warp Drives and Transporters made too much of it on screen with the flashy lights and blasting!! The original was best with it's fizzing out and in on the Transporter pads, and the ship's journeys as seen from the perspective of the crew inside the vessel was much better than the rainbow lights and star flashing of later on!

I'd have to go with the replicator. The possibilities are limitless at that point. If that came first, it could speed up progress so everything like warp drive etc. would follow that much faster.
