^ There were several films like that made back in the day...particularly around the Second World War, but even back in the 1930's. All the studios pulled out all their stars to make a big variety show. The one you have listed there is one made by RKO & FOX, who joined forces for that particular effort.
One made the same year by Warner Brothers was called Thank Your Lucky Stars, and included the big Warner Brothers stars:
Humphrey Bogart
Bette Davis
Olivia deHavilland
Errol Flynn
John Garfield
Joan Leslie
Eddie Cantor
Ida Lupino
Dennis Morgan
Ann Sheridan
Dinah Shore
Alexis Smith
Jack Carson
Alan Hale
Edward Everett Horton
George Tobias
S.Z. Sakall
Hattie McDaniel
Ruth Donnelly
Monte Blue
...among others.
Another Warner Brothers effort, made in 1949, was called It's A Great Feeling, and included:
Dennis Morgan
Doris Day
Jack Carson
Gary Cooper
Ronald Reagan
Jane Wyman
Sydney Greenstreet
Danny Kaye
Joan Crawford
Edward G. Robinson
Eleanor Parker
Patricia Neal
Errol Flynn
and directors Raoul Walsh, King Vidor, and Michael Curtiz
...among others.
MGM did a film called The Ziegfeld Follies in 1946 which included most of the big musical stars from their 'stable':
Fred Astaire
Lucille Ball
Lucille Bremer
Fanny Brice
Judy Garland
Kathryn Grayson
Lena Horne
Gene Kelly
Red Skelton
Esther Williams
William Powell
Edward Arnold
Cyd Charisse
Hume Cronyn
Keenan Wynn
Audrey Totter
William Frawley
....among others.
Then you had all of those Broadway Melody pictures.... Those huge studio ensemble pictures were once quite the rage.
Anyway, another 'modern' film which has alot of stars in it is is JFK:
Kevin Costner
Sissy Spacek
Joe Pesci
Tommy Lee Jones
Gary Oldman
John Candy
Jack Lemmon
Walter Matthau
Edward Asner
Donald Sutherland
Kevin Bacon
