Grilled Cheese Shanwiches deserve their own thread. :D

Grilled cheese:

Butter both sides of the bread, apply cheese, several strips of bacon or slices of lunchon-meat, slap together.

Apply assembly to frying pan, flip often. Serve. Repeat as often as necessary limited only by supplies. :D
 
my variation includes seasonings between slices of cheese so the result is a nice blend of cheesy goodness :D
 
Risotto is one of the easiest things to do with any leftovers you have lying around, once you've figured it out (it takes a handful of tries to get it right, and to get it efficient, when you first start learning to cook it). I keep a steady supply of arborio rice as my "get out of jail" card, when I don't know what else to cook.
 
One of my favorites:

- One can (each) of Cream of Mushroom Soup and Cream of Chicken Soup. (Do NOT mix with water)

- One pound ground beef.

- Noodles.

- Cook the first two items and serve over the third.
 
Here's one I make from stuff I have lying around: find Papa John's coupon, call Papa John's, wait 30 or so minutes, eat tasty pizza pie.
 
I made a really good stir fry last night out of half an onion, a few carrots, half a pack of frozen aspargus, a clove of garlic and some fresh spinach leaves. I wok'd the veggies in a bit of oil, then added ground mustard, curry powder, and a touch of garlic salt. I sprinkled the end result with a few drops of soy sauce and it was heaven.

I'm polishing off the leftovers right now, in fact...:drool:

My old Bachelor Tuna Noodle recipe:

A pack of Ramen noodels
A can of tuna
a couple slices of american cheese

Cook the ramen, without the seasoning, drain, then throw in the tuna, mix in the seasoning, add 2 slices of cheese and nuke for 1 min.

You can also "spice it up" by adding crushed red pepper or bacon bits.

Very cheap, very quick, and you can get used to it.
 
Kitchen sink stir-fried:

-- Frozen veggies, your choice. I typically use frozen sliced peppers, green-beans or "California Blend" (Broccoli, Cauliflower, & carrots) with frozen peppers.
-- Grilled chicken (can be left overs) or diced sausage
-- Parmesan cheese

Get a deep skillet, steam the veggies in the nuker. A splash of olive oil in the skillet, crank the heat till the oil is just below boil, and toss in the veggies and fry, season to taste (Garlic, fresh crack black pepper). Cook till the meat is thoroughly reheated and veggies are hot, grate then toss in the cheese and stir it up.
 
I used to spread pasta sauce on English muffins. But a lot of people probably had done that anyway.
 
I usually find that if you make a large batch of cheese sauce, you can do many, many things with it. Just a basic roue, then add your cheddar, or any other type of cheese, with a tiny bit of cream or milk. You can then make...
*Mac & Cheese, in a pan, in an oven, or fried
* "Hamburger Helper", by adding ground beef, ketchup, and a sauteed onion,and peppers to the mac & cheese
* If you thicken the sauce with more cheese, you can put it over nachos
*Thin the sauce out by adding chicken stock, and a bit of Amber Beer ( I forget the exact recipe), and sauteed carrots, celery, and cooked diced potatoes, and you have yourself a decent cheese soup.
