Grayson/Robin movie!

If I recall correctly too this fanfilm trailer was released about the same time that DC and Warner Brothers said that they would strictly enforce their copyrights if someone attempted a full fanfilm.

Funny how the fan films mentioned here give the official movies a true run for their money.

You think? they always like an overegged piece of shite to me.

"then superman turns up, then they fight, then green lantern craps a ring out of ass".

I think he was suppose to playing a retired Robin. He had grown up, married wiith a wife and kids. Batman was killed, his death went unavenged, and that's why he return as "Robin".

BTW, this "clip" was released right before they started to make the "New" Batman movie. I wondered if it had any bearing.......

The guy looks like he's 38, and he's Robin? :wtf:

Didja miss the whole "after-Batman" motif? The wife (Batgirl) and kid?

Oh, I get it. It's an out-of-continuity DC movie wannabe.

Continuity? You're referring to continuity in the context of comics?

I don't read many comics, but I've seen enough to know there ain't no such animal. There's just the current storyline, until another one comes along and all is forgotten.

Therefore I don't see anything wrong with the concept for this fan film.

^ Case in point the multiple crisis series recently. Am I the only one thinking though that this is reflecting something that may happen in the upcoming comics?

Do people actually think that was good? Cinematography and such was okay, but acting and direction was pathetic.

I have never understood the point of these things. Don't fans always say that all too often that real trailers are better than the actual movies? So is making a trailer, and only a trailer, for a fan film that they are not even going to make a real achievement? I don't think so.

I have loved this for years. Yes, the GL suit looks bad, and there are just a taaaad too many characters with Penguin and Riddler, but as a fan film goes this thing is fantastic...and to be honest, as a regular DC movie - it would be very kick ass.

Nothing would excite me more than to see a "real" trailer for an upcoming DC movie that was this. In fact, I get more shivers of excitement looking at this for the 9th time than I do watching Superman Returns...everything about the Superman in this fan film is RIGHT and everything about the Superman in that piece of shit is WRONG.

Hell, I really like Batman Begins but the Robin in this fanfilm seems more like Batman to me than Christian Bale swordfighting with Liam Neeson and all that bullshit with the vapor gun and train/water supply stuff in Begins does.

This fan film HAS IT RIGHT.

If you don't think this is an achievement, then you know nothing about filming on your own with no budget. Try getting people together, equipment, costumes, make up, lighting, a script, then have all that stuff where you need it when you need it, then shoot the thing when the weather cooperates. Next get the equipment and edit it...Now spread it around the net. Do all this when you have time off from your job, wife, kids etc and finally do it without being paid.

Is it a "real achievement?" Of course it is.

Well said. I totally agree.

I am not dismissing the time they spent. Or the efforts of fan-filmmakers in general. But you can not compare this to real efforts like New Voyagers or Starship Exeter. This seems to be getting points for comic accurate costumes and nothing more.

Just to confirm, this is not an offical studio release right? It's just a fan film?

Its just a fan film. Actually there is no "film" at all. This trailer is all that was made. They only filmed shots for this trailer. They did not even edit it from anything longer.
