Oh I agree on that. Its just their approach was backwards to normal film making. Where a trailer is edited from footage shot for the actual film.

Most fanfilms are just trailers, though. At least this one managed to use original material rather than being a YouTube cut-and-paste.

It was a bit heavy on the familiar faces. Aside from that, though, I don't see what's wrong with it.

it's also a crap trailer, it's too confusing. for one: who the hell is the old dude bossing Superman around? for another, it introduces too many different aspects of the film and lurches wildly from one plot thread to another, even more than real trailers do...

really, they shoulda made it concentrate on the whole "Oh noes, Bats is dead! OMG, i must investigate this!" angle and left out all the malarky with DCU cameo #67980145!

I am not dismissing the time they spent. Or the efforts of fan-filmmakers in general. But you can not compare this to real efforts like New Voyagers or Starship Exeter.

For starters, most of the actors in Grayson were FAR better. So were the production values.

i didn't follow all of what was going on, like i said, who the hell was the guy bossing supes around? i'm not a big DC fan...
