yes judging her by modern standards or any standards its hard to call her a companion, she is like Astrid, but she was the only person associated with the 8th Doctor, would could in any way be called a companion, so the fans call her that anyways.

Ok, going back to discussion of Grace Holloway....
Though I reckon she looks good throughout the film (except for when she's possessed by the Master and goes all creepy, of course), I think her best moment was when she was wearing that blue opera dress, she looked absolutely breathtaking there (although that slow-motion run through the hospital hallway was a tad bit cheesy).
