Spoilers Gotham - Season 2

Random question: Was it ever explained why Selina suddenly joined Fish Mooney in the Season 1 finale, then seemed to suddenly join up with Penguin in the Season 2 opener?

I don't know about her joining up with Fish, but I just assumed she was with Penguin because he took over her gang.
I just realized thanks to Scott Snyder's run, there is now comics precedent for Gordon as Batman. He was taking over for Bruce, but it's still there.

Selina just pals around with whoever is in power for protection. She is not loyal to anyone but herself.

Is that really the end of Azrael/Galavan? Still, gotta love Penguin/Butch's solution to the bulletproof villain. It seemed like a villain with potential but they seemingly have wrapped that up quick. Meanwhile, what happened with Freeze, he seems to have fallen by the wayside as well. Maybe Firefly and Freeze will have it out in a battle of fire and ice.

Freeze has probably already been relocated to the new facility. Although I would take the Flashs Captain Cold and Heatwave over Gothams Freeze and Firefly any day.
Poor Galavan, perhaps Strange will kidnap his sister and she will be the new Azrael.

I had the same thought.
I loved Butch and Penguin showing up with the RPG, and then just walking away casually after literally blowing Azreal to bits.
Selina looked different this week, they straightened her hair and I think her makeup was different.
Fish is back next week, that should be fun.

I hated Selena's short straight hair. Haaaaaaaated it! :nyah:
So, Tabitha gets a four foot sword stuck through her tummy and she's alive? Jeez.
So, they find out Galavan is coming for Bruce, so Alfred sends Bruce upstairs alone to check the windows? :brickwall: As opposed to, say, locking him up in the Bat Cave nobody knows exists? We need to close the curtains, Master Bruce! That'll keep him out! :guffaw:
Pengy and Butch shooting Galavan with an RPG was hilarious.

I still find it so weird how Freeze was not that important to this half-season, after all the advertising was about him and an ice-theme...

I hate to nitpick this show, but wasn't Azrael completely bulletproof the previous episode? When he attacked Gordon... when he attacked the police station... bullets were bouncing off him like crazy. Yet in this episode, Gordon's little piece manages to plug him full of holes in the front AND the back.
Also, why doesn't anyone shoot him in his exposed and unprotected face? :brickwall:

Now that you mention it, I remember that bothering me too. Was he still wearing the same armor? I was wondering if maybe he changed from something that was bulletproof to something that wasn't.

Or the armor just gave out.
Even kevlar can only take so many rounds before it's useless. Indeed, I'm pretty sure most vests can only take one or two hits, depending of the type of bullet and other factors.

But yeah, this show is pretty silly, so I wouldn't expend too much thought on it.

Selina's new look bothered me a little too, but not for aesthetic reasons. It just seems off that for a homeless child who practically lives in the same leather outfit, she seems freakishly clean and well groomed. Which, as I type it made me realise: of course she is, because: Catwoman. Also explains what she spends all her loot on: haircare products and salon time! ;)

I was waiting for a comment about Gordon using a higher caliber weapon or having picked up armor piercing rounds. But it never was addressed.

The RPG thing was done first on Buffy when they had to kill an especially sword-proof demon. But it's still funny. And the music was epic in that scene.

In the air ducts: Selena sneezes like a cat!
