Spoilers Gotham - Season 2

And Gordon's story....while I like the prison guard who helped him escape (and hope he eventually joins GCPD), the whole storyline is ridiculous. How does he become police commissioner after going to jail --- even if he is cleared?

Especially with those two other murders he's actually guilty of. I'm still half-convinced this show is set on Earth-3 and is actually the origin story for Owlman rather than Batman.

Its Gotham, you pull a few strings, call in a few favors and next thing you know you are police commissioner no questions asked.
And really the show is no more insane than the last storyline in the comic that had Gordon jump into a giant bat robot and fight crime while Batman was gone.

The problem is the actor who plays Bruce is very convincing as a young Bruce who is learning what it takes to be Batman. When they reboot the movies again, in about 15 years,i really hope they go to him first assuming he'll want to play the role again). He'll have the honest insight to play the role with the history of Bruce Wayne

Yeah, he's really the only thing the show does right (or at least did right up until I stopped watching in disgust at their complete character assassination of Jim Gordon).

I was kind of surprised they jumped over so much of Gordon's incarceration, I was expecting to get a least one or two more episode of him trying to survive in prison before finally getting free. Falcone's return was big surprise.
Did anybody else wonder if the friendly guard was Aaron Cash?
Penguin's storyline was pretty fun. I knew Van Dahl's family had to be up to something.
I was disappointed we didn't get any more stuff with Bruce and Selina.

When they talked about the portrait of the relative hanging on the wall was a tailor I had to rewind it to see if his name was Garak! lol

Well, this just shows ta go ya - nothing will drive you crazy like family.
That was hysterical. In many ways!

Nothing tastes better than family. I hope poor Ed gets smarter in prison his riddles are way to easy. Hugo continues to impress in limited screen time.

Pretty surprised that the Riddler was outed so quickly...and kind of sad... it would have been "nice" for him to get away with it for a while.

Hopefully, they have an arc with "Professor"Strange. Definitely like him as a character, but if they whip together something at the end, rather than a well thought out scheme, I will be disappointed.

I felt they did a pretty good job wrapping up the Gordon, Penguin and Bruce in exile stories. I'm curious about Gordon's quest to get to the bottom of Bruce's case.

As a personal aside, I thought Barbara looked pretty good with her "prison hair".

And they definitely need to show more of Bullock's dalliances. :)

He was actually on the path to redemption until he encountered those monsters.

I enjoyed it, but once again they rushed through a story prematurely. We don't get to see Penguin confronting/killing his nasty step-siblings! I wanted to see that.

Would have been great for Penguin to lift the old lid on the tray and reveal the siblings heads with apples in their mouths. Seen it a million times but always a good visual.

That's what my friend watching it with me said. But if we saw Pengy killing the two of them, by poison, let's say, and then cut to him serving the mother dinner... I would assume she was eating poisoned meat, not human meat.

As I recall in Rocky Horror, you see Frankenfurther kill Eddie, and then in the ?next? scene they're eating dinner, but you're not thinking they're eating Eddie until the reveal.

Glad they didn't drag out the Gordon on the run story too much but sad to see the Bruce's street-life with Selina end so soon.

^^ And that we only ever saw five minutes of it!

It's such a shame how they're skipping over interesting stories and showing less interesting things instead (coughsBarbaracoughs).

Also, I'm really perplexed at the complete disappearing of Mister Freeze. All of the ads for this half-season were ice themed and pushing him, and he disappears after two episodes? I thought he was the Big Bad.

I noticed they give all the Rogues their first round of Arkham.
To bad they don't end up there at the same time staging a mass riot/break out. Though something like that sounds like a job for Batman.

Looking forward to Gordon doing more detective work focussing on the Wayne murder conspiracy again... hopefully.

I'd agree with that, that story hadn't worn out its welcome yet. Were Bruce's stitches on Selina's jacket an allusion to her Batman Returns look? Of course, a couple more robberies with Bruce dumping the cash and she might've kicked him out anyway.
