Spoilers Gotham - Season 2

There was an ep. of the show Stingray called, Bring Me The Hand That Ht Me, kind of fitting for this ep. But things are getting out of hand now, were this a straight forwad Btman series I can see Batman handling the situation.

I have to hand it to you; you handled all those hand references handily.

LOL! I didn't even think about that when I posted it. I might've added the Robocop line as well. "Well, give the mane a hand!".

Wow, I guess they remembered Ivy after all. I think this episode did a good job of stringing along all the dangling plotlines without feeling too contrived (at least by Gotham standards). I'm curious where they go with the Riddler from here, he's obviously not going to be in a good frame of mind.

If I ever manage to make good on losing weight I'm going to dress like James Frain, lol. That guy rocks the shiny fabric.

I am a week behind, I wish the date night with Jim, Leslie, Nygma & Ms Kringle :adore: had been more in depth.

Speaking of dangling plot lines, didn't Season 1 end with Lil' Bruce determined to investigate Wayne Enterprises and bring the corrupt board of executives to justice? Because they were trying to kill him? Because they were behind his parents' murder? What the hell happened to that? And what happened to Gordon's quest to find out who killed the Waynes?

Bruce is waiting for his computer to get fixed while training with Alfred to get ready to take on Wayne Enterprises. Gordon is just lazy.

This is turning out to be like Smallville, where all the hero's villains and allies get their stories told before the hero himself emerges. That's a weird way of doing it. If they wanted to do a show driven by Batman villains, they should've just done a Batman show. Heck, at least Smallville spent its early seasons focusing on only one main villain, Lex Luthor, and various original baddies-of-the-week, and didn't start riding heavily on the Superman rogues' gallery until its later years when it was desperate for material to sustain the premise. And even then they generally kept it to one big bad per season. Gotham is trying to cram everything in all at once.

Mallet hand Butch was terrific. I wonder if they will show how his programming was broke. Poor Miss Kringle be careful what you ask for. Loved the green light outside Nygmas room. The Firefly story was decent and I am glad she is not dead. Wayne a Enterprises is the big bad of this series.

I'm wondering if Butch is either too loyal for his own good or the kiss of death for those he's loyal to.

Well this season is called "Rise of the Villains"...but totally agree -- waaaaay too many, and too soon. Kinda sick of how it all involves death, though (especially Riddler).

What I would like to see is Penguin & Riddler collaborating..perhaps Penguin helping Riddler switch over to the crime side. Have they even met yet?

It isn't just that they're way too many, it's that they're all the same: Psycho by a factor of ten, angry, misguided wannabe serial killers. Aside from their origins and maybe motive, there's nothing that separates them.

Penguin
NottheJoker
Riddler
Fish
Theo "I'm the worst villain in the history of TV" Galavan

They're all pretty much the same person.

I don't think the writers know how to write any other kind of bad guy.

There was an episode last season where they had kind of a meet-cute scene in the precinct. I don't know if they've met since then, since I'm not watching anymore.
