Gotham Knights television series

Yeah. Post-Batman shows are their own subgenre by this point. It would be refreshing if we could just have an actual Batman show in live action, but I guess that's off the table as long as WB still wants to make Batman movies.
Which is a bit weird given that WB seemed perfectly content with the idea of both a TV Superman and a movie Superman at various points over the past thirty years.

I wonder if there isn't some sort of legal issue where an actual Batman series (as opposed to spinoff) would still have to involve whomever holds the right to Batman '66.

The Netflix Daredevil series or maybe the upcoming Moonknight are as close as we are ever going to get to a Batman series.

Not someone who immediately jumps to mind for the role, but I like it.

The description doesn't say who Bruce Wayne's adopted son is, my first thought would be Dick Grayson, because as far as I know he's the only adopted son of Bruce Wayne in the comics. But I find it hard to believe Warner would do another live action series about Dick bringing together a team of heroes like that, when we already have Titans.
It also says that it's based on the Gotham Knights characters from the comics, but I thought the Gotham Knights comics were just about the other Gotham heroes, like Batwoman, Huntress, Nightwing, Azreal, ect. not the kids of villains. Do any of the Batman villains even have kids in the comics?

I was assuming Damian Wayne, but he's Bruce's biological son, come to think of it.

It's not Dick. Bruce's adopted son in this show is a wholly original character named Turner Hayes.

Yes.

Cluemaster (Stephanie Brown)

Two-Face (Duela Dent)

Lady Shiva and David Cain (Cassandra Cain)

Riddler (Enigma)

For some reason it hadn't even occured to me that two of the kids might be Stephanie Brown and Cassandra Cain. My interest in this has grown significantly.

OK, that is a bit of a surprise, I had assumed if it wasn't Dick it would just be one of the other Robins.[/QUOTE]

Oh, OK, I didn't realize so many of them had kids. I wonder if any of them will be part of the show?

So this son of Batman is an OC, eh? I can't decide if this will be really interesting or an unjustified slap in the face to everyone from previous lore.

Well, how did you feel about Terry McGinnis when Batman Beyond premiered? Or Ryan Wilder becoming Batwoman?

Besides, all those characters from previous lore were new once too, and not always well-received at first (two words: Jason Todd). But they became accepted over time.

First look at the cast

Okay, I assume the woman in green and purple is connected to the Joker, but I can't get any clues from the others' outfits.
